PSP2 rumours

Sony's Playstation Portable (PSP) was released in 2004. It has good hardware back at that time. But recently developers have been pushing it's capabilities to the limit. Time for a new Console for PSP fans, and yet there will be one coming next year. Also noting that Sony's pattern in releasing a new console every 6 years. The PSP Go cannot really be considered as a new console though.

Many Pictures have been spread on the internet about the next PSP. But according to a Kotaku report, Sony PSP2 will have HD screens. I don't know about the outcome or what will it be with HD. But I really think that the upgrade in screen resolution is a must for the PSP, considering the high resolution in handheld devices like the Apple Iphone. The retina display (It's just a name, folks) outdid the PSP resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. Of course it won't be full HD but at least it improves in pleasing the eye more.

A Dual shock analog is also said to be added. It should not be the same on the PS Controller. The current PSP analog joystick is just not good enough for most gamers and needs to be improved. UMDs? I'd prefer a console accompanied by a my game collections in a shelf rather than just looking a memory card's content through a screen. I somehow hope for a small version of BluRay :P (they can make the DVD smaller, which they also should be able to apply it to BluRay). Anyway that may be for the PSP3 or something.
